Please note: It's important to understand that a lifter lifting in the non-tested division is not assumed to be on any of the substances that are banned in the tested division.
The USPA is happy to offer drug testing to those wishing to compete in that division. Drug Tested or furthermore "Tested" meets will be a separate meet held as a stand alone meet, not in conjugation with a non-tested meet. All Tested meets will test the top 10% of lifters (according to Wilks). Lifters lifting in tested meets DO NOT pay for their individual tests if they are chosen to be tested.
Effective January 2018, lifters will no longer be able to purchase a drug test and be tested at non-tested meets. You must compete at a USPA sanctioned Drug Tested meet to get drug tested records. It is not required to compete at a drug tested meet to qualify for a drug tested meet. For Example: Any USPA Sanctioned meet will qualify you for the Drug Tested National or World Championships.
Lifters competing in Tested meets are eligible for Drug Tested State, American and IPL World Records (National and World Championship contests only). All of which can be found at USPA Drug Tested Records.
